Additional Fee Support Scheme (AFSS)
(Academic Year 2011/12)

Please note:  This Scheme is reviewed on an annual basis and a successful award for one year does not imply a commitment by the University to support fees throughout a whole programme of study.

The University offers an Additional Fee Support Scheme (AFSS) through the Access to Learning Fund.

The Scheme offers a full or partial Fee Top-up to  low income eligible part-time undergraduate students whose support from Student Finance England is insufficient to meet their full tuition fee.

The award entitlement will depend on personal circumstances.

Continuing eligible part-time students, or new part-time students with a course start date before 1st September 2012 who qualify under the household income threshold will continue to receive a government Course Grant and/or Fee Grant instead of a Tuition Fee Loan.
