CVs & Applications Coaching

There are two ways you can get help to make effective applications:

  • First, there are resources in the Careers Library that you can use onsite (DVDs/Videos and web resources) or take away (booklets and leaflets) to help you write a good CV or application. Ask at the Careers & Employability Service Enquiry Desk for information leaflets or to view DVDs/Videos/Web resources on writing CVs and making online applications.

  • Secondly, you can make an appointment to review your draft CV or application (including online applications) with a careers adviser.

Booking a review of your draft CV

You can book a 30-minute review of your draft CV or application on the day by telephoning 0191 515 2920 or calling at the Careers & Employability Service.

Additional Requirements

We recognise we need to work flexibly where you might require additional help or may need to access our services in an alternative way. If times available to see a careers adviser are unsuitable because, for example your working hours or an impairment makes it inconvenient, we will try to arrange alternatives.

Please let us know of any additional requirements you have, for example (handouts and font size) in relation to a specific learning disability or visual impairment.

You can contact us by telephone on 0191 5152920, email us at ces.enquiries@sunderland.ac.uk or call into the Careers & Employability Service, The Gateway, City Campus.
